Children are our main source of new ground breaking ideas. These ideas will shape our future and already slumber inside young heads ready to be recognized and celebrated. This is exactly what happens at the 5th World Children’s Festival. Its welcoming community helps children to discover and use their creative potential to the fullest. To illustrate this idea we combined the character of a child and the shape of a light bulb, a symbol for new ideas that is universal and instantly decoded. This makes a simple logo with a clear focus, even for children from all over the world. This simplicity allows the logo to have various applications. Changing the colour defines each main topic, i.e. green for Health and Environment Day, magenta for Creativity and Imagination Day and light blue for Peace and Leadership Day. With this piece of work we won Gold in the young lions competition at the Cannes Lions 2014 for Germany.
